Pickle_Zero iStudio is proud to announce my first online photographic art exhibition! I will be doing a Live Premier on YouTube as I reveal still photographs that have not yet been seen by the public. Date TBD
These captivating digital images are intimate in size and presented in pairs or triptychs. They are a look at everyday objects, scenes and occurrences as I see them through my eyes and the lens of my camera. I have a lifetime of education and experience behind the camera and have loved every moment of it. You will have the opportunity to see my framed original 4x6" images on display during the premier, in addition to on screen digital copies.
Mise en abyme (also mise-en-abîme, French "put in the abyss", [miːz ɒn əˈbɪːm]) is a transgeneric and transmedial technique that can occur in any literary genre, in comics, film, painting or other media. It is a form of similarity and/or repetition, and hence a variant of self-reference. Mise en abyme presupposes at least two hierarchically different levels. A subordinate level 'mirrors' content or formal elements of a primary level.
I hope to see you there!

Meet Kiwi
Kiwi is an adult female green sea turtle. She was released with a satellite transmitter in 2023, from Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica. She measured 39" in curve carapace (shell) length.
Meet Splash
Splash is an adult hawksbill sea turtle released with a satellite transmitter. She was encountered nesting on Cade's Bay Beach, Nevis. She measured 35" curved carapace (shell) length.
Meet Jenga
Jenga is a magnificent 35 year old bull elephant with and impressive tracking history. He is from Tsavo West National Park in Southern Kenya. Jenga was collared in January 2018 to better understand elephant movement and space requirements in a human-elephant conflict area.
Meet Mia
Mia is an adult female scalloped hammerhead shark, who was pregnant when tagged in April 2021! This species can be seen in large schools of 100-1000 sharks. 10.5 feet in length, this large shark likely takes up a dominant position within the school, giving her pick of any interested males.
Meet Norma
Norma is a female penguin from Argentina. Her nest is located 300 feet from a tourist trail, so she does not need to interact with visitors when she comes back from the ocean to feed their chicks. Her feeding trips are very long during the incubation period.
